So why did I start a skin care line???

#Tuedaytreat

Honestly I wanted a product that was natural and gave me all the benefits I wanted and needed, living in the sun loving southeast. So how did I get started? well for the people who know me I'm always think of new things to share with my friends and clients. One of the key things I was looking for were ingredients that repaired skin damage. My researched started with that in mind, I looked at the arsenal of products I had in my bathroom. (I'm a retired product junkie) And I couldn't find one single product that had everything that I was looking for. So then I put on my research hat and got to work. What I needed where skin loving ingredients so that's where I started, I use butters on my skin but I needed more not just your average Shea butter which is pretty much what most of the woman in my family use or have used. I wanted specialized, exotic butters and oils. So I'll let you all know the benefits of some of the heavy hitters I came up with and the benefits, it's too much for one blog so this will probably be a #tuesdaytreat series. I needed to finish my line to be able to take the time to put this in writing. So here goes, I'm going to start with 3 oils that are MAJOR and I mean that in every sense of the word so lets get started.

Buriti Oil:

  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Helps in lightening dark spots caused by sun exposure.

  • Restores skin elasticity.

  • Protects the skin against photo-damage.

  • Helps to protect the membranes surrounding skin cells which keep the skin cells healthy for longer.

  • Great emollient properties which help to rebuild, moisturize and re-hydrate skin cells.

  • Anti-inflammatory properties help combat skin conditions such as redness, rashes, sensitive skin, roughness and irritation.

Hemp Oil:

Has anti-aging properties

Hemp oil can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as prevent signs of aging from developing. The linoleic acid and oleic acids found in hemp oil can't be produced by the body but can play a crucial role in skin health and anti-aging.

Baobab Oil:

Baobab oil is generally known for its regenerative abilities. It is excellent for softening skin and helping heal any imperfections due to its antioxidants, ample amounts of vitamin A, B, and C, along with omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids. It also contains magnesium, potassium, and calcium.

Antioxidants

Antioxidants are essential to preventing harm from free radicals. Free radicals can damage your skin and may increase the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Through using antioxidants, you can limit these signs of aging.

Vitamins

Vitamin A helps the skin repel bacteria and viruses more effectively and it may limit outbreaks of acne. Vitamin B can ensure your skin retains more moisture, and with proper moisture, your skin can experience a reduction in dryness, flakiness, and fine lines. Vitamin C is mainly useful for increasing collagen production. The more collagen your skin produces, the plumper it looks and the softer it feels.

Omega Fatty Acids

Omega 3's act as anti-inflammatory and can be used for conditions such as acne and psoriasis. Omega 6's help stimulate hair and skin growth and ensure the continued regeneration of healthy cells. Omega 9's also minimize inflammation and the baobab oil skin benefits result in reduced signs of aging.
